CEMMA begins awareness actions in the north of Spain
During the summer months CEMMA has undertaken several information campaigns in the north of Spain. The objective of such campaigns was mainly to get closer to the general public, and especially the sea stakeholders, to inform them about the INDEMARES project, the ecosystems present in the area and other conservation issues.
In order to introduce the objectives and actions of the INDEMARES project, the biologist Jose A.M Cedeira explained, during the first Exhibition of the Sailor Traditions (Muestra de las Tradiciones Marineras), how important is that the fishing and the conservationist sectors work together.
During the IV edition of the O Pindo Fishing Worshop in Carnota (Jornadas de Pesca de O Pindo) celebrated from the 25th to 28th June, the O Pindo fishing guild organiced one event including meetings and symposiums, in which the CEMMA participated with a conference given by the biologist Xesús Morales related to the CEMMA projects linked to the fishing sector incuding INDEMARES.
